Job summary

Cityscapes in Boston is seeking a Seasonal Holiday Designer to join the Holiday Design Team. This role focuses on hands-on production work, organizing the workspace, learning design techniques, and assisting with holiday displays and special projects.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment within a busy seasonal setting. Ability to lift items and work with various materials is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and assembly of holiday décor following established themes and guidelines.
• Build and refresh garlands, wreaths, trees, moss, arrangements, and other seasonal products.
• Support holiday production and installation.
• Carry out daily production tasks as assigned by the Lead Holiday Designer or design team.
• Assist in inventory collection, warehouse organization, and upkeep.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace within the design warehouse.
• Learn and adopt new design techniques, tools, and organizational systems.
• Assist on special projects such as moss walls, botanical displays, and event décor as needed.

The Seasonal Holiday Designer supports the Holiday Design Team in the creation and assembly of seasonal décor. This role focuses on hands‑on production work, maintaining an organized workspace, learning design techniques, and assisting with holiday displays and special projects. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and excited to grow within a creative, fast‑paced environment.

• Assist in the design and assembly of holiday décor following established themes and guidelines.

• Support holiday production and installation.
• Carry out daily production tasks as assigned by the Lead Holiday Designer or design team.

• Follow production schedules and help ensure deadlines are met.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive team culture through clear and professional communication.
• Strong sense of organization, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Eye for design and willingness to learn new creative techniques.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and work safely on step stools and ladders.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with frequent task switching.
• Ability to work neatly, efficiently, and with care for materials and product quality.
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear verbal communication.
• Reliable follow-through and openness to feedback and direction.

Working Conditions:

This position requires standing for long periods; bending, lifting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling; and handling medium to heavy physical work. Candidates must be able to remember instructions, follow procedures, communicate clearly, and maintain focus on tasks amid a busy seasonal environment.
