Job summary

Qualifications

• There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of preservation trade work to build, maintain, restore, and preserve historic structures and landscapes.
• Plasters surfaces in historic buildings and completes basic finishing work.
• Performs plastering, roofing, painting, carpentry, sandblasting, preservation services, and motor vehicle operations.
• Removes old roofing and assists in repairing and installing roofs; operates an asphalt kettle.
• Measures, cuts, constructs, installs, repairs, and modifies wood and wood substitute items.
• Works indoors and outdoors in varied weather; uses protective equipment as required.
