Job summary

The Paper Store, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver world class service in a fast-paced retail environment in Reading, MA. You will greet customers, understand their needs, and recommend products while processing transactions at the POS and keeping shelves stocked and clean.

Flexibility is required to cover nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior specialty retail experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to dress code.

Qualifications

• Experience in specialty retail is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask while attending to customers and remaining flexible to business needs.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to lift up to 50 lbs. with proper safety techniques.
• Professional conduct and attire in compliance with dress code.

Responsibilities

• Act as a TPS Champion by modeling the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and delivering World Class Service.
• Greet and welcome every customer warmly and with enthusiasm.
• Understand customer needs by asking open-ended questions.
• Explain product features and benefits related to customer needs with in-depth knowledge.
• Suggest additional items to build sales using effective selling techniques.
• Process transactions at the POS and maintain accuracy.
• Stock shelves and recover the sales floor; clean as required.
• Maintain store appearance and visual standards per guidelines.
• Participate in training and development as required.
