Job summary

Pursuit is hiring a Host for the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. This full-time seasonal role begins in May 2027. The duties include welcoming guests, managing reservations, seating guests, and handling payments. You will work in a dynamic setting with rigorous standards for guest service.

The role requires delivering outstanding guest experiences, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and familiarity with POS systems. Alaska Food Workers card eligibility is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
• Thrives in a fast-paced and high energy work environment.
• Restaurant experience viewed advantageous.
• Positive guest service interactions and experience.
• Familiarity with computerized Point of Sale (POS) systems.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, Alaska Food Workers card.

Responsibilities

• Set up host station for shift.
• Obtain reservations, map seating arrangements, acknowledge, greet and seat guests.
• Close tickets and tender change as necessary.
• Acknowledge and understand daily menu changes.
