Job summary

Atlanta Botanical Garden invites applications for a temporary Guest Experience Associate, working across venues to greet guests, answer questions, scan tickets, and guide visitors.

The season runs mid-October through January 10th. Candidates should have at least 6 months in hospitality or customer service, be at least 18, and fluent in English. Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must understand, read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Must be able to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and sense of appropriateness to converse with employees and guests.
  • Must be able to understand a computer’s basic functions and operate it.
  • Must be able to take direction from others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a smile and a verbal welcome using an enthusiastic and pleasant manner
  • Provide guests with information about memberships, ticket prices, schedules, and garden events
  • Provide guests with directions to venues and offices
  • Communicate correct product information to guests regarding coupons, offers, and upcoming events
  • Scan tickets of guests upon entry and ensure proper ticket usage
  • Interact with guests while maintaining a festive atmosphere
  • Maintain clean working environment; alert MOD of lighting outages
  • Assist in other areas of the department such as trains or any location throughout the garden
  • Additional duties may be assigned; management may change duties at any time

Description


The Guest Experience Associate operates in various locations at Atlanta Botanical Gardens to include greeting guests, answering questions, directing guests, and scanning tickets.


This a temporary position, the season will begin mid-October and continue through January 10th.


Key Responsibilities


  • Greet guests with a smile and a verbal welcome using an enthusiastic and pleasant manner

  • Provide guests with information about garden memberships, ticket prices, schedules, and garden special events

  • Provide guests with directions to food and merchandise venues, offices, and special events

  • Communicate correct product information to guests regarding coupons, special offers, and upcoming events

  • Scan tickets of guests upon entry and ensure proper ticket usage.

  • Interact with guests while maintaining a festive atmosphere

  • Maintain clean working environment, alert MOD of lighting outages

  • Assist in other areas of the department such as trains or any location throughout the garden

  • Additional duties may be assigned, management retains the discretion to change or add to the duties of this position at any time
