Job summary

Detroit Pistons is seeking a Seasonal Groundskeeper to help maintain and enhance Palace Sports & Entertainment properties, venues, and grounds. You will support the operations team in keeping facilities clean, safe, and event-ready for games, concerts, and other events.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and willingness to work outdoors in varied weather. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential to support a high-volume event calendar.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, humidity, wind, snow, and rain.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping, parking lots, sidewalks, and stairways across multiple properties.
• Remove debris and trash following games, concerts, and special events.
• Assist the Conversions team with daily operations and event-related needs.
• Transport fleet vehicles to and from repair facilities as needed.
• Support Physical Plant staff with maintenance projects and operational tasks.

As a Seasonal Groundskeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing Palace Sports & Entertainment properties, venues, and grounds. This includes iconic venues such as Pine Knob, Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, and Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill. Working alongside the Property Management team, you will help ensure our facilities remain clean, safe, and event-ready by supporting overall grounds maintenance and post-event cleanup efforts.

We are seeking a dependable, proactive team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude who takes pride in maintaining exceptional spaces and supporting memorable guest experiences.

What you’ll be doing
