Job Title: Groundskeeper

Status: Seasonal - Full Time Days

Schedule: 7am-3pm

Salary Range: $15/hour

What will I do in this role with Garden Spot?

• Perform equipment maintenance, adjustments, and repairs, including sharpening mower blades, oil changes, cleaning, belt changes, etc.
• Mow all turf areas
• Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, bulbs, and seed turf
• Spray herbicides and pesticides on turf and bed areas under supervision
• Trim walkways and mulch beds
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and flowers
• Assist with snow removal

What do I need for this role with Garden Spot?

• Must be 18 years or older
• Familiarity with and ability to operate all ground equipment
• Basic mechanical skills for routine maintenance
• Assist with campus events and functions
• Good judgment, ability to work independently, follow directions, and cooperate with others
• Availability for on-call snow and ice removal during winter
• Willingness to work in extreme hot or cold weather
