Job summary

SAN-Juan-Colleg in Farmington, NM seeks a seasonal Grounds Maintenance worker to help maintain campus grounds, landscaping, and roadway areas. Duties include mowing, edging, mulching, pruning, irrigation checks, and greenhouse tasks. The role supports events preparation and snow/ice removal as needed.

The position is non-exempt, 29 hours per week, through 01/31/2027, with compensation of $15.75 per hour. A valid driver’s license and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and performs basic math.
• Valid driver’s license for equipment operation.
• 1–2 years of related grounds maintenance experience.
• Capable of working outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Weed, mulch, fertilize, spray pesticides/herbicides, mow and edge lawns.
• Rake leaves and operate mowers and string trimmers.
• Collect trash and debris from grounds.
• Participate in snow and ice removal operations.
• Maintain tools and equipment; perform greenhouse duties.
