Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking Greenhouse Seasonal Workers for Phillips Park Maintenance, roughly March through November. Responsibilities include greenhouse operations, planting, and flower care across parks, zoo, and golf course locations.

Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and outdoor work in inclement weather. Physical work is required; driving license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are needed.

Qualifications

• Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Daily watering of plants (hand, cart, or water truck).
• Planting of flowers as part of landscape upkeep.
• Daily care of planted areas and flower beds.
• Weeding of planted areas and beds.
• Litter and debris removal from planted areas.
• Ongoing plant health maintenance and other duties as assigned.
