Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. in Covington, LA, is seeking a dependable grain facility team member focused on scale and weighing duties. You will weigh trucks in and out, collect grain samples, grade grain, and record information while delivering strong customer service to our customers.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience is required, though previous industrial work is a plus. A grain grader and/or weighing certificate is required or must be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• Required - High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred - 1 years’ experience working in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.
• License/Certification - Grain grader and/or weighing certificate; if not obtained before hire must obtain in time applicable to perform job duties.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Working knowledge of computers and software; Basic mathematical skills; Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; Ability to multi-task and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Identify inbound trucks; weigh in trucks, record information and take samples.
• Perform tests required for grain grading.
• Electronically record grades, splits, weights, and other data.
• Direct trucks to the appropriate location and ensure accurate truck turnover.
• Build professional relationships with customers while maintaining efficient operations.
• Complete documentation timely and legibly.
• General housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
