Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a scale operator to support harvest-season operations. You will greet drivers, collect grain samples, weigh trucks, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety standards.

No prior experience is required, though an understanding of basic math and computer use helps. A grain grader and/or weighing certificate is required or must be obtained after hire. Travel is limited.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; 1 year in an industrial environment preferred.
• Grain grader and/or weighing certificate required or obtainable after hire.
• Strong communication, math, and computer skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet drivers, collect grain samples, and assist with scale operations.
• Identify inbound trucks, weigh in/out, and record data accurately.
• Perform grain grading tests and record results.
• Electronically record grade, split, and other required information.
• Maintain documentation accurately and promptly.
• Build relationships with customers to keep the truck line moving.
• Follow safety program and wear PPE; adhere to OSHA and environmental standards.
