The Polo Club of Boca Raton is seeking a seasonal position to assist in member-oriented programs and services. Responsibilities include providing assistance in the Pro Shop, organizing events, and maintaining inventory.
The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with members and co-workers. A high school diploma is preferred, along with knowledge of golf merchandise and club repair tools.

Ability to communicate well in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of members or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software and Internet software.
PGM Program with the PGA of America is preferred.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision and ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include wearing a surveillance earpiece head set connected to radio. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Polo Club operates its business seven (7) days a week all year long. All employees are required to have flexibility to accommodate the business needs including all weekends and all holidays. There may be split shifts assigned per day. The time off scheduled during the week will vary and be based upon the club’s business activities.
