Job summary

The Golf Club at Newcastle in Newcastle, WA, seeks a Seasonal Golf Practice Facility Assistant to oversee daily operations of the practice facility and support golf staff in delivering exceptional guest service. You will greet guests, handle cash and POS transactions, assist with tournament operations, and promote facility offerings while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Customer service, cash handling, and POS system experience required.
• Able to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings.
• Good working knowledge of the golf business.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Practice Facility in achieving targets through facility use.
• Use all Practice Facility-related systems efficiently.
• Initiate contact with guests with a warm welcome within 15 feet.
• Answer the phone within 3 rings.
• Greet guests and assist them throughout their time in the Practice Facility.
• Assist with tournament operations as directed by the Tournament Coordinator/Golf Pros.
• Maintain effective communication between staff regarding course operations.
• Lead by example in performance, motivation, and engagement.
• Use suggestive selling to enhance guest rounds and amenities.
• Maintain a clean appearance and wear a uniform at the start of each shift.
• Assist in keeping a clean environment and removing clutter.
• Knowledge of hours, pace of play, and group events.
