Job summary

Rocky Point Golf Course in Essex, MD is seeking several seasonal Groundskeepers for the 2026 golf season. Under supervision, you will perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance, including mowing, trimming and course setup.

Responsibilities include operating gear, maintaining bunkers and flower beds, and assisting with greens and fairways construction. Flexible weekend/holiday hours required; drug-free environment noted.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of hand power tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate light motorized equipment.
• Follow oral and written directions.
• Must be reliable and dependable.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operates mowers and string trimmers around greens, aprons, tees, edges cart paths and sand bunkers.
• Maintains ball washers, flags, debris, and seedings in divots and flower beds.
• Keeps equipment fueled and reports problems promptly.
• Returns equipment to designated locations and keeps maintenance areas clean.
• Marks course for cart control and maintains barriers and signs.
• Assists in construction/renovation of greens, tees and fairways; grades soil and lays sod.
• Lays walks and paths, excavates ditches and trenches with hand tools.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
