Job summary

Winterfest & Seasonal Ice Rink in St. Louis, MO seeks a General Manager to oversee financial and operating performance for the venue. This seasonal full‑time role reports to the VP of Venue Management and drives profitability, staff development, and interdepartmental collaboration across operations, events, and services.

You will lead budgeting, policy development, and major initiatives while ensuring goals are met and customer experiences excel. Travel to national events may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven daily P&L ownership and budget oversight of $1MM+.
• Executive leadership experience in entertainment or sports venues.
• Operational knowledge of food & beverage, events, and sport clubs.
• Experience contracting or managing sponsorships and corporate events.
• Minimum 7 years of management experience and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
• Appoint department heads and coordinate interdepartmental functions.
• Develop and implement budgets and control systems.
• Direct HR activities and select senior staff.
• Set policies, goals and strategic direction for the organization.
• Prepare reports on expenses, budgets and program results.
• Represent the organization at official functions and with partners.
• Oversee site selection, construction needs and equipment procurement.
• Drive revenue growth and negotiate key contracts.
