Job summary

Furst-McNess Company is seeking a Seasonal General Laborer for our Storm Lake, IA location. Shifts run 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with 4 or 8 hours per shift; weekly schedule Tue–Sat, 20–40 hours per week, with possible overtime.

The role is on-site in a production/warehouse environment, starting at $18.00+ per hour and paid bi-weekly. The position supports production, warehouse operations, packaging, and housekeeping, with responsibilities including material handling, loading/unloading, and maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor, manufacturing/production, warehouse, and housekeeping duties as needed to support facility operations.
• Assist with production processes, material handling, packaging, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement.
• Load, unload, move, and store materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Operate or assist with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through routine housekeeping and sanitation activities.
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, GMP standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned
