Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is seeking enthusiastic Barbacks to support beverage setup and service during football games at Rice University in Houston, TX. This seasonal/part-time position involves assisting the culinary team, maintaining safety, and ensuring food and beverage quality in a high-energy stadium setting.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ years of high-volume food experience and ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Must have strong food safety knowledge and practice.
• Clear communication with BOH and FOH staff.
• Capable of multitasking in a high-volume event setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef.
• Assist chefs and culinary tasks to ensure timely service.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food storage.
• Support beverage setup and service during football games.
• Operate kitchen equipment and ensure food quality and safety.
