Job summary

Kohl's in San Bernardino, California is looking for a Loss Prevention Associate to assist in protecting physical, human, and property assets within the Distribution Center. You will monitor security policies, report violations, and conduct investigations while performing audits and ensuring compliance.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent and previous experience in Loss Prevention or Distribution Centers. Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays, and strong knowledge of safety protocols is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the protection of Kohl’s physical, human, and property assets.
• Monitor physical security policies of Kohl’s and the Distribution Center.
• Report incidents of associate theft or safety violations.
• Participate in internal theft investigations per Kohl’s policies.
• Perform Loss Prevention audits to measure accuracy.
• Monitor associates via the floor and CCTV for compliance.
• Perform data entry of audit results and assigned information.
• Participate in training of newly hired Loss Prevention Associates.

Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous Distribution Center or Store Loss Prevention experience

Certification in power equipment use

Auditing experience

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, PeopleSoft

About The Role

As Loss Prevention Associate, you will assist in Loss Prevention activities within the Distribution Center (DC). You will perform physical security, report policy and procedure violations to leadership, investigate internal theft, monitor processes, audit compliance, and perform data entry, documentation and Gatehouse operations.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in the protection of Kohl’s physical, human and property assets
• Monitor physical security policies and procedures of Kohl’s and the Distribution Center
• Report incidents of associate theft or safety violations
• Participate in internal theft investigations in strict adherence to Kohl’s policies and guidelines
• Monitor all Kohl’s Department Store and Distribution Center safety policies and procedures and actively participate in the Distribution Center Safety Committee
• Perform Distribution Center Loss Prevention audits to measure accuracy
• Report production fraud or short-cuts by associates
• Monitor associates (via the floor and CCTV) to ensure compliance to processing guidelines
• Perform data entry of all audit results and assigned information
• Perform all Gatehouse operations and Gatehouse data entry
• Assist in store inquiries
• Participate in the training of newly hired Loss Prevention Associates
• Additional tasks may be assigned

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent and/or previous Distribution Center, Law Enforcement and/or Store Loss Prevention experience
• Certification in the use of power equipment to aid in investigations

Preferred Skills

• Auditing experience
• Working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and PeopleSoft

Pay Range

$18.50 - $25.00
