Job summary

Total Wine & More in Carmel, IN is seeking a Seasonal Cashier to provide fast, friendly service, process transactions, verify IDs, promote our loyalty program, and help bag products. You will greet customers, build relationships, learn wine, spirits and beer knowledge, stay informed on promotions, and uphold safety and cleanliness while complying with alcohol laws.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and team player mindset.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years in a retail setting preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including ID verification, payment handling, inquiries, loyalty-promotion, and bagging products.
• Deliver a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store and comply with alcohol sale laws.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
