Job summary

DHT Group is seeking safety-minded, experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a seasonal role at Michigan Sugar locations in Michigan. Starting pay is $25/hour, with the start anticipated mid-September and campaigns based on operational needs.

You will primarily operate front-end loaders to load and move sugar beets, work around trucks and other equipment, and perform routine inspections and basic maintenance. Seasonal opportunity with potential for future opportunities depending on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience operating large front-end loaders or comparable heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of safe heavy-equipment operation and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Load and move sugar beets following procedures and safety rules.
• Perform pre-operation inspections and monitor equipment.
• Identify and report equipment issues requiring repair or maintenance.
• Follow safety requirements and assist with other duties as needed.
