Job summary

DHT Group in Bay City, Michigan is hiring Seasonal CDL‑A In‑Plant Drivers for the sugar beet harvest. This position offers steady work close to home, overtime opportunities, and a pathway to a full‑time CDL‑A driving role after the harvest.

You will work 12‑hour shifts (2nd/Night), with 3–5 shifts per week based on production needs, and be home daily. Must pass DOT physical and drug screening; starting pay is $20.00/hour with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
• Commitment to safety and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport sugar beets within the facility.
• Load, haul, and unload products efficiently.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance and required documentation.
• Report equipment concerns promptly.
• Coordinate with plant personnel and dispatch to keep operations moving.

We are actively hiring Seasonal CDL‑A In‑Plant Drivers for our Bay City, Michigan sugar beet harvest operation. This position offers steady work close to home, overtime opportunities, and a pathway to a full‑time CDL‑A driving role after the harvest season.

Schedule & Working Conditions

• 2nd Shift / Night Shift
• 12‑hour shifts, 3–5 shifts per week based on production needs
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
• Home daily; overtime available during peak harvest

Responsibilities

• Safely transport sugar beets within the customer’s production facility
• Load, haul, and unload product efficiently
• Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections
• Maintain DOT compliance and required documentation
• Report equipment concerns promptly
• Work with plant personnel and dispatch to keep the operation moving

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening
• Reliable attendance and commitment to safety
• Ability to safely operate commercial equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• Dump trailer experience
• T‑Endorsement
• Agricultural hauling experience

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 25 pounds
• Climb in and out of equipment safely
• Bend, stoop, and work outdoors throughout the harvest season
