Northgate Markets in California is seeking a Seasonal Courtesy Clerk (Store #02) on a part-time basis. Earn $17–$21 per hour in La Habra while assisting customers with purchases, bagging items, and providing friendly service.

Duties include maintaining front-end cleanliness, handling carts, and supporting store operations in a fast-paced environment. Experience is not mandatory beyond a high school education; a valid work permit is required if under 18.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred but not absolutely required.
• Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eight-grade level to assist in sales transactions and to calculate and extend column totals on in-store supply usage.
• Ability to hear, speak and understand English to respond promptly to pages for assistance and to communicate with customers and staff.
• Ability to read, write, analyze and understand English in order to read and understand instructions, handbooks and procedures.
• Must have and be able to present a valid work permit if under the age of 18.
• Be thoroughly familiar with store policies and maintain punctual and reliable attendance.

Responsabilités

• Observe all store rules and company policies; comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and observe dress regulations.
• Observe shift operating hours as scheduled or assigned by the store director.
• Bag customer purchases according to store procedures.
• Provide carry out service.
• Assist customers with purchases including carry-out service and loading into vehicles.
• Gather shopping carts and return them to designated areas.
• Keep front end clean and in good order.
• Assist in training personnel when assigned.
