UniSea, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Front Desk Clerk for the Grand Aleutian Hotel in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The role involves delivering courteous guest services, processing payments, and handling telephone communications.

You will register guests, manage check-ins/outs, and assist with billing as needed. The position requires 1–3 years of front desk experience (including at least 6 months as a Night Auditor), basic bookkeeping, and strong communication skills.

Basic Function

UniSea is currently seeking a seasonal Front Desk Clerk for the Grand Aleutian Hotel in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering courteous and efficient guest services, processing payments, and managing telephone communications.

Essential Duties

• Register, check in, and check out hotel guests.


• Direct telephone calls and accurately record messages as required.


• Collect payments and post charges as appropriate.


• File and print all required reports in a timely manner.


• Respond to emails courteously and professionally.


• Assist the Guest Services Supervisor by providing backup billing support when necessary.


• Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with company policies by carefully monitoring equipment usage and workplace practices. Remain informed of current company safety policies.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent


• 1-3 years front desk experience with at least 6 months as a Night Auditor


• Basic bookkeeping and audit experience


• Computer skills preferred


• Must possess good communication and organizational skills as well as excellent customer service skills


• Professional appearance and manner required


• Ability to interact in a positive manner with diverse cultures in a team environment

This is a seasonal hourly non-exempt position with a rate of $17.50 - $22.75 per hour, DOE.
