Position Summary

UniSea is seeking a Seasonal Cook I to join the Harbor View Bar & Grill team in Dutch Harbor, Alaska. This position is responsible for preparing and setting up cold food items, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and supporting the kitchen team in providing quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up cold food items, including salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and other menu items.
• Maintain an organized, properly stocked workstation and rotate products as needed.
• Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to the Chef.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, equipment, and food preparation areas.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and wait staff to provide quality food and customer service.
• Assist with training new hires to ensure UniSea standards and procedures are followed consistently.
• Follow UniSea food safety, workplace safety, and operational standards, and perform other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Education & Training

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1-3 years of cold food preparation experience.

Experience & Skills

• Knowledge of basic cooking areas, with an emphasis on cold food preparation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay & Benefits

• This is an hourly non-exempt position with a rate of $17.50 per hour.
