Job summary

Bend Park and Recreation District is seeking a part-time Customer Service Specialist 2 to handle reception, cash handling and general office tasks during the winter season. The role requires strong customer service, ability to work independently, and familiarity with common office software; shifts include weekends and holidays, with hours across early mornings to evenings.

A high school diploma and at least one year of customer service experience are preferred; a driver’s license may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AND
• One year of customer service experience with cashiering and computerized processing
• Any satisfactory combination of education, experience and training

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and creates a positive experience.
• Greets the public, answers calls, and provides information on District programs and events.
• Serves as cashier for transactions including registrations, fees, and concessions.
• Assists with program enrollment and notifies participants of changes.
• Schedules and processes facility rentals.
• Performs data entry, filing, and clerical tasks.
• Maintains safety, cleanliness, and organization of the lobby.
• Performs emergency support per the emergency action plan.
• Acts as Mandatory Reporter; reports child abuse/neglect.
• Works under supervision; may supervise Customer Service Specialist 1.
