Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking a Forklift Operator to pull products for weekly distributions using a sit-down forklift or order picker. You will handle shipping/receiving, light data work, and team collaboration to keep stores well supplied.

The role requires 1–2 years in a distribution setting, forklift experience, and comfort with inventory and POS systems. Strong communication and adaptability are valued as part of a safety‑minded team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a Distribution Center environment.
• 1-2 years experience operating forklift or order picker; valid forklift certification preferred.
• Proficiency in general DC procedures (shipping/receiving, order picking).
• Ability to operate all DC equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, order picker.
• Proficiency with inventory/database programs and POS System knowledge preferred, APTOS a plus.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management System experience a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts to meet the needs of the business.
• Strong communication (verbally & in writing), customer service, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Pulls product for all weekly distributions to stores.
• Prepares and stages orders for shipping.
• Operates powered industrial forklift/order picker to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
• Ensures proper paperwork is completed before product is sent out to stores or events.
• Back stocks all incoming freight to respective bin locations.
• Assists with receiving incoming freight, new store/event receiving and tagging.
• Unload/load trucks.
• Monitors equipment and reports problems to supervisor.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
• Responsible for reporting any issues related to the forklift equipment to direct supervisor/manager.
