Job summary

Boot Barn seeks a Forklift Operator on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 4PM-1:30AM) to pull products for weekly distributions and prepare orders for shipping. You will operate a Sit-down forklift or order picker to move inventory, load and unload trucks, and ensure accurate paperwork and safe procedures.

The role requires teamwork, adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines, and a collaborative attitude to support stores, events, and partners.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift in a distribution/warehouse setting.
• Ability to understand and complete paperwork for shipments.

Responsibilities

• Pulls product for all weekly distributions to stores.
• Prepares and stages orders for shipping.
• Operates powered industrial forklift/order picker to transport inventory and load/unload.
• Ensures proper paperwork is completed before product is sent to stores or events.
• Back stocks all incoming freight to respective bin locations.
• Assists with receiving incoming freight and tagging.
• Unload/load trucks and monitor equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and report issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to all laws, company policies and safety guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Our Forklift Operator is responsible for pulling product from weekly distribution requests using a Sit down Forklift or Order Picker. Other duties may include but not limited to, shipping and receiving, light computer work, the use of DC equipment and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Pulls product for all weekly distributions to stores.
• Prepares and stages orders for shipping.
• Operates powered industrial forklift/order picker to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load orders.
• Ensures proper paperwork is completed before product is sent out to stores or events.
• Back stocks all incoming freight to respective bin locations.
• Assists with receiving incoming freight, new store/event receiving and tagging.
• Unload/load trucks.
• Monitors equipment and reports problems to supervisor.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
• Responsible for reporting any issues related to the forklift equipment to direct supervisor/manager.
• Load/unload trucks when needed.
• Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance, appearance and high degree of professionalism in communication and attitude with customers, teammates, corporate partners and vendors.
• Adhere to all local, federal, and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices. These may include but are not limited to complying with the Company’s Time & Attendance policy and procedures and partnering with management to sustain workplace health and safety requirements according to OSHA regulations and the Company safety guidelines.
• Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.
