This location is a Distribution Center. Overtime opportunities are available throughout the summer months. From June to September, mandatory and overtime hours may be required based on business needs.

Are you a motivated individual with a passion for ensuring smooth operations in a busy warehouse environment? Lakeside Book Company is looking for a dedicated Seasonal Order Picker/Turret Operator to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you’ll operate forklifts and other machinery to move, stack, and organize products efficiently. Responsibilities

• Operate Order Picker/Turret and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and containers.
• Organize and store products in designated warehouse areas.
• Perform case pick duties as required.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate shipping and receiving tasks.

Requirements

• Previous order picker and/or turret experience required.
• Experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Steel-toe shoes are mandatory daily.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 50 lbs during an 8-10 hour shift.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays.

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay - $19.50/hr, plus $1.50/hr shift differential for 3rd shift.
• Shift – Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 pm - 6:00 am, with mandatory overtime as needed.
• Location – 5550 W. 74th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268
• This is a seasonal position starting as early as April, lasting through peak season, with no guarantee of permanent employment.
• For safety, 3rd shift employees cannot return to their cars during breaks.
