Base pay range

$15.84/hr - $17.26/hr

Food Services Assistants help to prepare healthy meals and to make sure the kitchen is kept at Maine State health code standards. This position is part-time seasonal (June- September). Your position will be based at the Learning Center in Lincolnville, Maine. Kitchen staff work closely with the Food Service Supervisor and the director to ensure the dietary needs of everyone at camp are met. Part-time, 20-40 hours per week. Some weeks in the spring and fall seasons will be fewer hours due to fewer programs. Some weekend work is required. $15.84-$17.26/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, rinsing, and cleaning pots, pans, and related utensils.
  • Operating dish cleaning equipment.
  • Cleaning dining facilities using standard custodial equipment.
  • Collecting, cleaning, and drying laundry.
  • Performing standard, unskilled maintenance

The 4-H Camp and Learning Centers provide environmentally focused programs for Maine youth and families in Lincolnville and Tenants Harbor. Our mission is to teach youth and adults to be effective and caring citizens of the earth through affordable environmental education and fun nature-based experiences.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
  • No previous work experience required

  • Training and/or experience in sanitation, food preparation and protection, hygiene, and record keeping
