Job summary

Neiman Marcus in the United States invites applications for the Restaurant Server Assistant role. You will maintain table setups and assist with service to ensure guests experience the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains table setups in the dining rooms and clears/re-sets tables.
• Delivers popovers, butter, and pours water.
• Delivers food and beverages to guests per kitchen tickets.
• Sets up the dining room with key items and maintains hygiene.
• Assists kitchen and service staff with requests and restocking.
• Supports waitstaff with service and running food as needed.
• Maintains dining room and workstation cleanliness.
• Participates in pre- and post-shift duties and daily/weekly tasks.
• Reports to work dressed in proper uniform and prepared with supplies.

YOU WILL BE

The Restaurant Server Assistant maintains setup in the dining rooms to see to it that guests have the level of food and beverage service consistent to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Focuses on table maintenance in the dining room, including clearing and re-setting tables
• Delivers popovers, butter, and pours water
• Delivers food and beverage to guests as indicated by kitchen tickets
• Makes the bus station and beverage areas
• Learns table numbers and sections in the dining area
• Assists kitchen staff and service staff with any service needs (e.g., additional customer requests, restocking plates, bagging “to go” orders, setting up expediter station)
• Assists waitstaff with any service needs, refilling beverages and running food from the kitchen to the dining room as needed
• Sets up the dining room with key items, including but not limited to coffee, iced tea, and ice
• Maintains dining room by restocking glasses, flatware, and linens
• Participates in daily pre-shift meeting
• Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
• Lifts and moves objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
• Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation
• Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to: Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks Reports to work area dressed appropriately and prepared to work with any necessary supplies / equipment to perform job duties

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS

The hourly rate for this position is $10 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
