Job summary

Scott Byron & Co. seeks a design professional to craft annual beds, seasonal containers, and perennial gardens, collaborating with Client Relations Managers, Project Managers, and Salespeople. Responsibilities include site measurements, design refinement, and trend research to deliver high-quality displays.

You will coordinate with internal teams, participate in design reviews, and train staff in relevant tools and processes to ensure timely, accurate executions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 2–5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Aspire is a plus.
• Must have a valid local driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Must pass a DOT medical physical per DOT guidelines.
• Pre-employment physical and drug test required; random drug screening.
• Must be 21 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to present information clearly to clients, managers, and the public.
• Ability to solve practical problems with diverse variables.
• Must communicate in English (reading, writing, using computers and phones).

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety practices, procedures, and policies.
• Develop understanding of the Scott Byron & Co. brand and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Consult with Client Relations Managers, Project Managers, and Salespeople to meet contract specs and budgets.
• View sites, measure planting spaces, and update property zones in Flower Power.
• Participate in design review of alternatives and change impacts.
• Research and implement current trends in perennial and annual design.
• Provide training on CRM systems, field operations, or installation crews.
• Coordinate with Buyers and Flower yard staff for capacity planning and orders.
• Utilize technologies to manage information and records.
