Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a field welder to perform welding operations at customer sites for turbine and generator maintenance. You will work with SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW, and support blade assembly tasks with precision. Expect extensive travel and potential 12-hour shifts.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and welding training; a Welding Technology diploma is preferred, with the ability to obtain nuclear plant access.

This is a fast-paced job that works at customer sites to support the energy industry in many different welding and turbine repair applications. Jobs very from welding support to blading on varies components. You will be expected to travel domestically and internationally, potentially on short notice.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Be engaged in performing welding operations to meet the required manufacturing and engineering specifications for turbine generator field services equipment.
• Ability and willingness for Heavy Travel (All business expenses are paid)
• Ability and willingness to work a high percentage of overtime - including 12-hour shifts.
• Mechanical skills for precision assembly of turbine blades and components including hand riveting

What You Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years of prior training resulting in Diploma or Certificate from technical/trade school or apprenticeship in welding or manufacturing
• Diploma major in Welding Technology preferred
• Basic computer skills to complete job-related expenses
• Skilled in use of manual SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes
• Capable of passing 6G position heavy wall weld test using both GTAW and SMAW process on both carbon and stainless steel.
• Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear plant access
