Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Seasonal Field Technician to assist in installing and configuring security cameras and wireless networks at major event venues. You will help build out wired and wireless mesh networks, configure devices, and support a central command post during events.

Responsibilities include loading equipment, operating vehicles, installing IP cameras, maintaining system health, and packing up at event end.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• 2+ years installing and configuring security cameras and wireless networks.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering and construction drawings and specifications.
• Terminate RJ45 consistently and effectively.
• Intermediate computer proficiency.
• Understanding of IP addresses, subnets and network topology.
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment for events.
• Safely operate vehicles from passenger car to 26’ box truck.
• Install temporary IP cameras across large event venues.
• Set up wired and wireless mesh networks.
• Configure IP cameras and backhaul equipment to a centralized post.
• Build a temporary video wall and monitor system health during events.
• Uninstall and pack equipment after events and tag for repairs.
