Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Agronomy, Soils, Crop Science, Entomology, Ag Business, or other Ag majors preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Proficient in Windows-based software, Microsoft Office and Internet.
• Strong reading, writing and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks with lifting up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Collect soil samples from various locations using appropriate equipment.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines for sample collection.
• Record accurate and detailed data on sample location, depth, and related information.
• Label and store samples properly for further analysis.
• Coordinate sampling with team members to ensure timely completion.
• Assist daily GPS soil sampling, conventional sampling, and field mapping.
• Enter data into computer systems for labels and lab submittal sheets.
