Job summary

ServiTech, Inc. is seeking a Soil Sampler for a seasonal/temporary role to collect soil samples across the Midwest, using GPS equipment and soil sampling probes.

Equipment such as a truck and ATV will be provided to perform sampling and ensure sample quality for research purposes. The position involves recording detailed data, labeling and storing samples for lab analysis, and coordinating with team members to complete sampling on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
• Agronomy, Soils, Crop Science, Entomology, Ag Business or related majors preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Proficient in Windows-based software, Microsoft Office, and Internet.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics and data entry.
• Ability to analyze information and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collects soil samples from various locations using GPS equipment and soil probes.
• Follow established sampling protocols and document location and depth.
• Label and store samples for laboratory analysis.
• Enter data into computer systems for lab submittals.
• Operate ATV, truck, and GPS equipment; travel across farms.
• Assist with daily GPS soil sampling and field mapping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
