Job summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a facilities cleaner to maintain clean offices, restrooms, and public areas. You will operate cleaning machines, assist with grounds and events, and perform emergency cleanups as needed.

Ideal candidates are physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with help, and can stand or move for long periods in a dusty or damp environment. English comprehension is required for safety training and instructions.

Qualifications

• Must certify in the use of required cleaning equipment such as sweepers, buffers, lifts, and carpet cleaning machinery.
• Ability to independently lift and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds and team lift up to 100 pounds on occasion.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, push, pull, twist, bend and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
• Must understand English for general communication, training, and safety.
• Must comply with regulations for handling chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, restrooms, public areas and fixtures as instructed.
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment including vacuums, buffers, scrubbers and power washers.
• Operate balers and shredders and assist with elevated work.
• Window and building exterior cleaning; carpet and upholstery care.
• Restock supplies and move furniture or equipment as needed.
• Perform emergency cleanups including floods, spills, and bodily fluids.
• Report safety or security issues and participate in audits or meetings.
