SP+ is hiring a Special Events Attendant for seasonal work in Elmont, NY. You will assist guests at events, manage cash transactions for parking services, and help maintain smooth traffic flow at entrances and exits.

Qualifications

• Less than High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Availability to work special shift requirements, including 3rd shift and weekends.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with tens and hundreds for cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Courteously assist customers and answer questions.
• Receive payment for parking services and facilitate traffic flow through the gate.
• Arrive on time and wear a neat uniform.
• Give directions and inform customers of locations in the city.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, or policy violations to management.
• Communicate issues like debris or spills to management.
• Learn each special event location and requirements.
• Count bank money at shift start and verify starting total.
• Collect cash and coupons and maintain cash security.
• Make change and issue receipts or tickets for transactions.
• Verify shift transactions against cash on hand and complete cashier reports.
