Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements, partnering with the care team to ensure timely, compassionate service.

This role requires a valid RN license, critical-care competencies, and the ability to work a seasonal schedule in a fast-paced ER environment. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive hospital benefits accompany the opportunity.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• TNCC must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
• RN - Registered Nurse credential.
• Associate Degree required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives Management required within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management and reassess after interventions.
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely, thorough manner.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to deliver exceptional care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and potential side effects.
• Teach healthy lifestyle changes, such as diet and exercise, and prepare patients for future self-management.
