Job summary

Crested Butte Mountain Resort is hiring Competition Teams Coaches. This winter seasonal role requires coaching safety-focused ski instruction for athletes of varying ages, with emphasis on matching skill levels and maintaining high safety standards.

The position requires PSIA/AASI Level 1 or USSA/FIS Level 100 certification, strong English skills, and the ability to work outdoors in alpine conditions. Housing support and seasonal benefits are available.

Qualifications

• PSIA/AASI Level 1 and/or USSA/FIS Level 100 certifications required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Attend Ski and Ride training sessions.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Uphold guest and personal safety on varied terrain at high altitude.
• Clearly and accurately instruct skiing levels to students.
• Match athletes to appropriate skier level and collaborate with supervisors for changes.
• Assist guests to load and unload the chairlift.
