Job summary

City of Indianapolis & Marion County seeks Election Center Associates to assist in maintaining the Election Service Center and preparing Election Day equipment, ballots, and supplies. The role supports machine testing, supply distribution, and canvassing preparations. This temporary position runs up to twelve weeks per hiring period.

Candidates should be able to lift 35-50 lbs repeatedly and have a High School Diploma or GED. Some college or prior election experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some college experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Election Service Center by cleaning and organizing areas and tracking inventory.
• Prepare and organize Election Day supplies and ballots.
• Assist in testing election machines and preparing equipment for distribution.
• Support Satellite Voting/Early Voting sites with supplies or equipment as needed.
• Prepare the ESC for Election Day activities and post-election canvassing.
