Job summary

St. John Paul II Catholic High School seeks a part-time drumline group manager to assist the musical instructor with a 15+ member drumline. The role involves leading weekly after-school rehearsals, coordinating travel for performances, and communicating schedules to students and families.

Ideal candidates will have experience in music or percussion, and a demonstrated ability to manage groups and uphold school policies. The position reports to the Principal and requires some evening/weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience in music/drumline and/or music instruction.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s preferred or in progress.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, databases; internet use for education.

Responsibilities

• Lead rehearsals planning and cadence development; coordinate travel for performances.
• Attend drumline rehearsals; travel with group to games and events.
• Communicate weekly schedule to students and families with instructor guidance.
• Enforce discipline policies and maintain professionalism; supervise students as needed.
• Maintain documentation of rehearsal plans and year-long calendar.
