Job summary

Sargento in Wisconsin is seeking team players to operate string extruders and cutters in a refrigerated production area. The role features a 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM shift, Monday through Friday, with a 6‑month assignment and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or enrolled with anticipated completion within 12 months.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate RDS System and brine flume to maintain temperature and salinity.
• Report brine system, string extruders and brine chiller issues to production and maintenance department.
• Set-up and inspect work area for cleanliness and readiness.
• Operate string cutters and monitor extruded cheese for proper weight and length specifications.
• Maintain and document daily cutter operations log.
• Communicate with packaging department about products and product flow.
• Communicate with production about products, product flow, product quality and/or concerns.
• Communicate with lab tech, maintaining proper product size.
• Work with sanitation to disassemble mixers, mixer pipes, string extruders and storage of end-of-the-day product.
• Add salt to the brine system.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Do.
