Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Customer Service Associate to support the Operation Christmas Child program in Windsor Mill, MD. The role focuses on coordinating volunteers, delivering friendly service, and ensuring a welcoming processing center.

You will work with staff and volunteers across several OCC teams, from Greeter to Gifts-In-Kind, to ensure a smooth seasonal operation that reflects the organization’s faith-driven mission.

• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, train, and coach volunteers to process shoebox gifts in accordance with OCC guidelines.
• Greet and register volunteers using the volunteer management system.
• Direct volunteers to OCC processing tables and coordinate placements.
• Document Gifts-In-Kind donations and manage inventory for the GIK area.
• Promote and sell OCC branded merchandise and maintain inventory and reports.
• Greet and direct volunteers and donors at parking areas and drop-off points.

We are seeking Customer Service Associate to join our Operation Christmas Child team in Windsor Mill, MD. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Customer Service Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work side by side with employees and volunteers to take the love of Jesus to children all around the world
• Play an integral part in the processing of over 12 million shoebox gifts
• Welcome, equip, and coach thousands of volunteers to process OCC shoebox gifts

Team Coach

We are hiring for the following Customer Service positions:

Welcome, train, and coach volunteers to process shoebox gifts in accordance with OCC guidelines. Ensure a fun, productive, and memorable experience for each volunteer.

Greeter Team

Greet and register volunteers serving using the volunteer management system. Answer questions and orient volunteers to the OCC processing center.

Floor Coordinator

Work with Volunteer Placers to greet, direct, and place volunteer groups at open OCC processing tables.

Gifts-In-Kind Team

Document Gifts-In-Kind donations and ensure adequate supply and delivery of GIK inventory. Train, coach, and supervise volunteers who serve in the GIK projects area.

Gear Store

Promote and facilitate the accurate sale of Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child branded merchandise through an automated transaction system. Maintain accurate inventory counts and financial reports.

Parking Team

Greet and direct all OCC volunteers and donors to appropriate parking spaces or drop-off locations. Answer volunteer questions and thank all volunteers and donors leaving the processing center.

Drop-off Coordinator

Receive and document shoebox donations. Represent OCC in a Christ-like manner and pray with shoebox donors.

Volunteer Placer

Work with Floor Coordinator to greet and place volunteers at open OCC processing tables.
