Job summary

The Commonwealth's Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is hiring a Seasonal Custodial Worker I for the Clinton County Maintenance Office. You will maintain clean facilities and safe outdoor areas to support daily operations, performing routine cleaning, restroom care, and basic upkeep.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, October 2026 through March 2027, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework is not available, and veterans' preferences may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, waxing, dusting, and polishing of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures
• Clean restrooms and replace necessary supplies
• Shovel snow, sweep walkways, mow grass, and maintain lawn areas
• Dispose of paper and other building waste in the correct manner
• Perform small plumbing, electrical, and building repairs as needed
• Coordinate daily tasks with supervisors and coworkers while maintaining a courteous attitude toward the public
