Job summary

The Little Nell in Aspen is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. The Cook will prepare and cook food items, follow standardized recipes, and support all kitchen operations under the supervision of the Executive Chef.

Pay ranges from $23.00 to $28.00 per hour and will reflect experience, station assignment, and budget considerations. This is a seasonal full-time position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Culinary Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 year(s) of food preparation experience required.
• ServSafe or similar food safety course certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, ensuring quality and proper portions.
• Follow daily prep lists to ensure items are ready for service.
• Set up, work, and break down assigned stations (sauté, grill, roasting).
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment and prep areas.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries and supplies.
• Operate equipment safely and perform basic cleaning and maintenance.
• Manage cooking times to support timely service, especially peak periods.
• Collaborate with kitchen team for smooth operations during service.
• Report issues to Chef or Sous Chef; complete shift checklists.
