Job summary

Zion Mountain Ranch is seeking a seasonal cook to join our on-site kitchen team. This entry-level role supports basic prep, cooking, and kitchen cleanliness for Cordwood Restaurant or The Get Outpost Cafe, with opportunities to learn under experienced staff.

The position requires flexibility to work Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and offers on-site employee housing and a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, with perks including discounts and resort access.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with no prior experience required; culinary school or previous kitchen experience is a plus.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain Utah Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of basic food items under the direction of higher-level cooks or kitchen manager.
• Follow established recipes and portion guidelines for all menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and food storage areas.
• Assist with dishwashing, kitchen cleanup, and trash removal as needed.
• Prepare ingredients, assemble dishes, and ensure proper food handling and storage procedures.
