Sun Communities, Inc. in Jensen Beach, FL is seeking a Seasonal Cook to support our foodservice operations at Ocean Breeze.

You will prepare a variety of items, operate grills, ovens, fryers and maintain cleanliness per Health Department rules. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of restaurant cook experience, basic computer skills, and a valid Food Handling Certification along with a driver's license.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in previous restaurant cook experience required.
• Basic computer proficiency to use email/internet.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
• Must have Food Handling Certification and a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares food ordered by restaurant customers using a variety of kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, fryers, meat slicers, food processors, etc.) (Essential)
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager such as starting equipment and cleaning of refrigeration units, grill and surrounding area, as well as other kitchen equipment (Essential)
• Maintains cooking areas and ensures kitchen equipment and food storage areas are clean, sanitary, and organized as required by the Health Department Rules and Regulations. Reports any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to the Restaurant Manager (Essential)
• Restocks products as needed throughout shift
• Collaborates with Restaurant Manager to determine daily specials, new menu items, and innovative ways to cook and prepare food
• Regularly checks menu cycle to ensure all food items are available in advance, notifying the Restaurant Manager of any shortages
• Other duties as assigned
