Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is seeking a Seasonal Housekeeping Associate to join our Facilities team. The position emphasizes a service-oriented mindset, reliability, and adherence to cleanliness protocols to ensure a welcoming guest experience.

The ideal candidate brings prior cleaning or housekeeping experience, can work evenings and weekends, and is comfortable operating in a guest-facing environment at the conservatory. This seasonal role runs August 2026 through January 2027.

Qualifications

• High school degree required.
• 1-2 years work experience in a related field.
• Preferred Pennsylvania driver’s license; insurability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial and janitorial tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure a clean and tidy environment for an enjoyable guest experience.
• Sweep and mop floors, vacuum mats, and carpeted areas.
• Dust surfaces and light fixtures.
• Clean glass and metal surfaces to remove fingerprints and smudges.
• Conduct bathroom checks and replenish soap dispensers, toilet paper, seat covers, and paper towels.
• Wipe down countertops and other surfaces.
• Dispose of trashcan and waste bin contents.
