The Bayview Hotel in Bar Harbor, Maine is seeking a dependable Houseperson to join our seasonal team. This part-time seasonal position supports the Housekeeping team with cleaning, linen delivery, and stocking to ensure guest rooms and public spaces are welcoming.

Shifts include mornings, weekends, and holidays with potential to transition to full-time seasonal. Starting pay is $17.25 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits program and opportunities for growth within Witham Family Hotels.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Comfortable with physical tasks, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior hotel, housekeeping, or cleaning experience is helpful, but not required.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linens, towels, amenities to guest rooms and housekeeping areas.
• Transport dirty linens, towels, and trash to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, public areas, and other spaces.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping and other department requests.
• Report maintenance, safety, or guest room concerns to the appropriate team.
• Help move furniture, mattresses, and other items as needed.
• Ensure guest areas are clean, orderly, and ready for arrival.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to guests.
