Job summary

The City of Ann Arbor seeks a seasonal engineering intern to assist the Engineering Department with data entry, project coordination, plan review, and field data collection. The position is located in Ann Arbor, MI and supports water, storm, and road projects under multiple Project Managers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering or related field.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive to multiple local sites daily.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry and public communication tasks.
• Coordinate projects and prepare plan reviews and submittals.
• Prepare design and construction meeting agendas and minutes.
• Assist with permit applications and MDOT project prep.
• Support construction progress payments and invoice approvals.
• Collect field data and perform on-site reviews when required.
